Меѓу стриминг сервисите и блокбастерите за суперхерои, начинот на кој гледаме и доживуваме филмови драматично се промени во последните 25 години. Но, низ тој период на големи промени, кои филмови навистина го издржаа тестот на времето?
Редакцијата на „New York Times“ се впуштила во амбициозен проект и анкетирала повеќе од 500 филмски творци, актери и влијателни филмофили, барајќи од нив да гласаат за 10-те најдобри филмови (според сопствени критериуми) кои излегле по 1 јануари 2000 година. Во соработка со тимот на „The Upshot“ ги составиле нивните одговори и креираа листа на 100-те најдобри филмови на 21 век.
Меѓу гласачите биле оскаровци режисери како Педро Алмодовар, Софија Копола, Бери Џенкинс и Гиљермо дел Торо, како и признати актери како Чуетел Еџиофор, Мајки Медисон, Џон Туртуро и Џулијан Мур.
